Vegetation Program Volunteer Days on the South Rim: August 7-8, 2010

Overview

Grand Canyon National Park 's Vegetation Program will be hosting you over this weekend to assist in a diversity of projects on the South Rim. We will be restoring areas impacted by construction, assisting our invasive crew to rid the canyon of non-native plants, and helping our nursery staff stage plants for a plethora of projects around the park. Mather Campground, just minutes from the challenging Bright Angel Trail , historic El Tovar hotel, and breathtaking Yavapai Point, will be your home for three nights. We will work from 8 AM ? 4 PM with an hour for lunch every day. Over the course of your visit here Vegetation Program staff will introduce you to the natural history of the park through a series of informal talks. Our staff is looking forward to having you out at the park to assist protecting this fabulous resource.
