Boulder mountain plant mapping - July 22-25, 2010

Overview

HRV springs assement trip in 2009

As part of a 2009 Travel Plan Appeal agreement, the Dixie National Forest will be initiating a process in 2010 or early 2011 to consider additional roadless area protections for Boulder Mountain, the highest forested plateau in North America.

This trip will describe special forest, meadow, riparian and wetland plant communities and plant species that help define Boulder Mountain as important wildlife habitat and a unique Utah treasure. The information and photos we gather will help make the case for a more roadless Boulder Mountain.

This trip is best suited for individuals with plant identification skills and experience.

Contact Andrew Mount for more information about this project.
